Windows Update Funktioniert Nicht Mehr

Ich probier gerade neue Updates per Windows Update zu bekommen und dann trat folgender Fehler auf.

Also. Ich verwende den IE7. Wenn ich dort im "Extras -> Windows Update". Startet die Windows Update dann lädt es ein neues Tool herunter und installiert sich. Danach kommt die oben genannte Fehlermeldung.

Musst mal in die C:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log rein schauen (vom Ende aus lesen). Dort müsste man ersehen können, worauf Dir der Zugriff verwehrt wird. Danach kann man dann mal schauen, warum das so ist.

Am besten vorher den WU Dienst stoppen, die WindowsUpdate.log löschen und den Dienst neu starten und das Update wiederholen. Dann hat man wenigstens eine saubere Log Datei. Ansonsten stehen da alle Ereignisse seit dem ersten Start des WU drin.

Fehlernummer: 0x80070005 heißt eigentlich "Access Denied".

Der hat irgendwie Probleme das Windows Update Client auf den aktuellen Stand des Servers zu bringen.

Das installierte Update Client hat die Version 5.4.3790.2180, er benötigt aber mindestens Version 5.8.0.2469. Das versucht er zwar irgendwie zu installieren, aber das klappt nicht. Vom Fehler 0x80070005 sehe ich jetzt allerdings nichts im Log. Das hat aber in dem Falle nichts zu sagen.

Um welches Windows geht es eigentlich genau?
Hängt der Rechner direkt am Netz oder geht das über einen Proxy oder sowas?
Adminrechte und so stimmen aber alle?

Du kannst mal versuchen, den WU Dienst zu stoppen, den Inhalt des Ordners C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution löschen und den Dienst wieder starten und das ganze noch einmal versuchen.

Ansonsten kannst Du auch mal versuchen, den Windows Update Agent 3.0 zu installieren, falls das immer noch nicht klappt. Solange der Client nicht upgedatet werden kann, wird das WU nicht funktionieren.

Ich hab Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2. Der PC ist per WLAN direkt mit dem Router im Server verbunden. Ich bin als Administrator angemeldet.
